The Shichida Method is founded by Dr Makoto Shichida. He is a known figure in Japan with more than forty years of experimenting with techniques to stimulate children’s development of the right brain education.
Right brain education is about developing children to have more sensitivity, imagination and creativity, other than academic achievements alone. Its education principles are based upon the sense of one-ness, cooperation and love. As for the left brain-centered education, it focus on confrontation and competition. Every child between the ages of zero to three years old, are believed to be a genius. This is because, the child is able to absorb or accept information at an amazing rate. We as parents can raise our children differently and effectively, when we understand how the infant’s brain works between age zero to three years old.
The most important thing in the beginning of a newborn child education is language, especially vocabulary. The use of flash cards as a tool is very important. Flash the cards to your child at a fast speed and they will learn with lightning speed. The right brain functions at a fast speed, where else the left brain function at a low speed. Both sides of the brain function very differently. So when you input a lot of information at a very fast speed, that is when you activate the right brain.
